 Well my lovely readers, I will be taking a very brief vacation from the blogosphere for the next eight days, as I am going on a trip to Seattle and Vashon Island!  But don't cry, I promise to come back!  How could I ever stay away?  (I couldn't, I'm an addict).  For now I leave you with this wonderful picture from Altamira.  Just imagine that is me waving and kissing you all goodbye, (I'd kill for that hair).

Why do I looks so sad in all of these photos?!  I swear I'm happy, I guess I just have sad eyes.  I wore this yesterday mainly around the house, considering it was gloomy and I didn't want to leave, (plus, Bravo reruns of Rachel Zoe Project were calling me).  I love me a good oversized men's shirt, it's just so easy and effortless!  And these socks are just so adorable, they make me feel like I'm in Clueless!  The little fur ball who is crashing most of these photos is Duncan, who previously showed off his questionable sense of style here.  Please excuse his scraggly appearance, he is actually being groomed as I type.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

She Once Was Mine

Loving this pinup inspired editorial by The Ones2Watch!  The red lipstick looks so perfect against the muted pinks, creams, and whites of the clothing.  I want to wear every single one of these ensembles and look just as effortless!

Why yes, that is the Dara Ettinger Angelica ring ON MY FINGER....and my counter!!!!  It is stunning, it is breathtaking, and it unexpectedly arrived on my doorstep yesterday!  Thank you so so SO much Uncle Jerrold!  I can't move, that's how gorgeous it is, it literally paralyzed me. 

The Storm Before The Calm

Yesterday I had my first day off work in a while, which means I finally got to pick out my own outfit!  It was a pretty uneventful and stormy day, spent taking Duncan to the vet and my sister shopping, so I opted for something basic.  These are a pair of my favorite shoes, which I have absolutely worn to death.  I know you have seen them before, but I added these stirrup-like wraps made out of cut stockings as an ode to those beautiful Fendis, and also because I totally managed to break these shoes and I thought it would be the best way to keep it cute while securing them to my feet!  I don't think I ever mentioned this, but I live in the woods, which makes for great outfit post settings!  Well, I am about to hit up the pool with one of my bests and enjoy our temporary break from this southern rain!  I hope you all enjoy your day, and remember to follow me on bloglovin!

So by now you know that I'm going on my big Europe adventure with Sam in the fall!  So it's only natural that I have come up with a serious wish-list of all my major wants/needs for the trip!  So here they are, everything I find to be absolutely necessary for my big trip that I have not yet purchased, combined with a few things I'm just desperately pining after.  The perfect, lightweight, classic trench for any chilly days we may encounter, the drool worthy Mulberry "Neely" bag, the perfect camera, a dress just as adorably perfect as the one Diane Kruger wore during the weekend of the Chanel resort show, a comfy pair of timeless, versatile loafers, and last but not least, the Dara Ettinger Angelica ring that reminds me of arts and crafts!  Ok....maybe some of these items aren't necessary for my trip, but a girl can dream!

Today is my momma's birthday, so I thought it was only appropriate to share some of these amazing photos of her!  Isn't she a total babe?!  These were all taken between 1978 and 1984, and I love that picture of my parents in their beachwear on their honeymoon in '83.  Happy Birthday Momma!  Love you sooooo much!
