Charles Henry is a recently launched collection that definitely appeals to my penchant for feminine frocks and my undying desire to dress for the summer.  I mean, how could you not love a collection of pieces overflowing with ruffles, delicate fabrics, adorable rompers, and cutouts?!  Not only is the collection overwhelmingly pretty, but it is designed by a fellow Kentucky girl {woohoo KY pride}!  I can't wait until the warm weather hits so I can flounce around in some pretty dresses like these!

I am of the opinion that if all fashion designers based their collections around ballet, theatre, or music, everything would just be prettier.  The ballerinas are getting A LOT of love right now from the fashion world, and rightfully so, as ballet is one of the most fashion conscious art forms out there.  The fashion world and the ballet world have so much in common that this seems like such a fluid, natural pairing.  Both are incredibly body conscious, requiring models and dancers alike to manipulate their bodies to portray a specific message.  Copious amounts of chiffon and satin, delicate details, these ballet inspired pieces are basically my bread and butter, so I am reveling in this editorial from Vogue Russia.  And with valentine's day approaching, these sweet silhouettes and fragile fabrics will cater perfectly to our sweetheart inspired outfits!

Well Hello There, Dapper!

Milan Men's Fashion week kicked off on Saturday, so there truly is no better time for us to turn our focus to the boggling world of menswear.  I am a self-proclaimed menswear dork, so I am absolutely loving the street-style shots that are cropping up all over the interwebs!  The examples above are such a celebration of proper tailoring and attention to detail, both which completely transform an outfit.  I feel as if the vast majority of mens clothing sold in the U.S. is completely oversized, and as a result our poor guys have completely lost sense of what fits!  So boys, take a cue from the dapper men above and take some fashion risks, I promise it will pay off!

Since my Christmas is probably going to look a little something like this, I have 0.0 reason to ponder upon a gorgeous holiday outfit {sad face}.  But, not to worry, I have been spending all of the time I would be thinking about ironically ugly holiday sweaters, planning out my cute New Years outfit!  My soiree ensemble will be built around the sequined skirt, a trend I could blame on Nanette Lepore or J. Crew, but will probably chalk up to my undying love for Bob Mackie.  The key to pulling off this look is to balance out the glitz of the skirt with a more casual top in a neutral color.  Ooooo, I can't wait to blind people with my bedazzled fit come December 31st!  

P.S. I have recently joined the Vogue Influencer Network, so look out for some great product reviews and sneak peeks at lines before they hit the runway!  Yippee! 

P.P.S I am having trouble figuring out where I found the first photo of the lovely girl with the headband.  If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be so grateful!

Oh my goodness I love this!  I have been in SUCH a slump lately, feeling completely unmoved by the fashion world and thus, utterly unmotivated to blog.  Then, WHAM I saw this editorial from Harper's Bazaar U.S. and I'm back in the game, baby!  I mean hellllloooooo, did you see those Valentino Garavani color-block platforms?!  And I know you all are well aware of my unhealthy obsession with the perfect trench.  Add a cameo by cute, furry bambi into the mix and I am so sold!  While I'm sure that a few months from now we'll all by musing about how done we are with the sultry 1970s power-woman look,  I'm completely willing to relish in it right now.  The hair, the bright red lips, the high waisted sailor pants, they are all calling to me.

Eat Your Heart Out, Suri Cruise!

HOLY CUTENESS, how adorable is Zara Kids' new fall line?  I mean, eat your heart out Suri Cruise!  Part of me wants to find a random child and dress them in all of these items, but a significantly larger part of me just wants to wear them myself.  Camel jackets, stripes, blazers, loafers and brogues are all fall trends that I am SO excited about, and these pint size versions are just amazing!

Lolita Fairytale

I must say that this editorial from POP magazines Fall/Winter 2010 edition totally creeps me out.  I realize that it is the result of the combined efforts of many photography, styling, and creative geniuses, and that it is meant to be evocative, but it kinda rubs me the wrong way.  Like, why does our beloved Brit Brit look like a 5 year old playing dress up in mommy's old wedding gown?  She's 28 years old, so I'm not really buying this child bride shtick.  Maybe it's the fact that she appears to be both childlike and sexy at the same time, an unsettling and disturbing combo.  I don't know, maybe I'm just being a wee bit □.

Valentino Fall 2010

I've found myself unexpectedly uninspired by many of the fall 2010 lines that debuted this past spring.  I suspect that this may be partially due to the fact that a lot of the time, one particular line is plastered across every fashion blog within a 24 hour period, leaving me bored.  But the Valentino Fall 2010 RTW line is the exception.  The feminine lines, scalloping, and delicate folds, paired with the basic color palate result in a beautiful and classic collection that I absolutely love!  I know that it may not be the most shockingly innovative line, but what's so lovely about it is that it presents a new twist on very classic silhouettes and colors.  I know I'm in love, but what do you think?
