Eat Your Heart Out, Suri Cruise!

(via my daily style)

HOLY CUTENESS, how adorable is Zara Kids' new fall line?  I mean, eat your heart out Suri Cruise!  Part of me wants to find a random child and dress them in all of these items, but a significantly larger part of me just wants to wear them myself.  Camel jackets, stripes, blazers, loafers and brogues are all fall trends that I am SO excited about, and these pint size versions are just amazing!

Lolita Fairytale

(via fashion gone rouge)
I must say that this editorial from POP magazines Fall/Winter 2010 edition totally creeps me out.  I realize that it is the result of the combined efforts of many photography, styling, and creative geniuses, and that it is meant to be evocative, but it kinda rubs me the wrong way.  Like, why does our beloved Brit Brit look like a 5 year old playing dress up in mommy's old wedding gown?  She's 28 years old, so I'm not really buying this child bride shtick.  Maybe it's the fact that she appears to be both childlike and sexy at the same time, an unsettling and disturbing combo.  I don't know, maybe I'm just being a wee bit □.

Step Away From The Scissors

(via fashion gone rogue)

I'm thinking about getting a bit of a trim before we embark on our European adventure.  I want this haircut, but I absolutely will never do it.

Something Tells Me It's All Happening At The Zoo

(tee: old navy, pants and glasses: F21, shoes and pearl bracelet: Target, bow ring: Divas)

So here it is, my very first attempt at taking my own photos!  I did it all sans tripod or remote, so it took quite a while.  Not too bad, huh?  I know it has been ages since I last posted, but I have been very busy and particularly uninspired, and I refuse to put up a post that I am not 100% about.  These were taken right before our family trip to the zoo, which is a bit hilarious considering it was me, aged 22, and my parents, surrounded by families with very young, crying children.  I know there isn't much to it, but I love these simple, classic outfits.  Thanks to Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere for putting up this great tutorial that I used to make this super cute hairdo!
Sam and I leave on our big European adventure in only 10 days, and I am getting insanely excited!  If anyone has any tips on must see sites or great restaurants, please share!

Prince!
I remember when I was little I would always see those amazingly pink barbie cakes at the grocery store, and every time my birthday rolled around I would long for one of my own.  Back then, I didn't think they could get any better, but it seems I was terribly wrong.  Claire Thomas over at The Kitchy Kitchen has given the classic dolly cake a serious upgrade by creating her own couture versions!  It all started when her friend was having a Bachelorette party, and Claire made a doll cake that looked like the dress.  From then on out she has been creating these sartorial goodies for everyone from the girls at Who What Wear to the Rachel Zoe team.  You should definitely go check out her site, which is overflowing with super yummy recipes and great videos.  Oh and Sam and Dad, in regards to the last cake, oh no she didn't, OH YES SHE DID!
p.s. a BIG thank you to all of my gorgeous readers and followers!  Your support and comments are so important and greatly appreciated!

Shake Off The Dust

Behold the MANIAMANIA Dust collection!  I've previously written about this incredible jewelry line fronted by a powerful duo of industry friendly ladies here.  How amazing is our beloved Bambi in this video?  Well, so amazing that I am inspired to suddenly turn the focus of this post not just to her, but her eyebrows.  Yes, those perfectly full, permanent accessories topping off her mug.  I am jealous.
Ooo, ooo! and what about Camilla Belle?  Her brows are amazing too!  *sigh*
